Mahjong for Beginners

Mahjong is a sociable game for 3 or 4 players, making patterns with the 13 tiles dealt to each player. These are “swopped” one at a time in sequence. There are 3 suits (circle, bamboo, and character) plus honour tiles of dragons (red, white and green) and the 4 winds. It is the 14th tile which makes Mahjong. We chat while preparing the set up of the game, and end the afternoon session with tea/coffee and biscuits. There’s no financial cost, as players, in turn bring a packet of biscuits.
