Mindfulness
What is Mindfulness
A mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.
Mindfulness is simply a method of mental training.
Clearing the mind
Every day our brains are going full pelt from the moment we get up until we finally get to sleep. There are thousands of things that need to get done, and there is never enough for ourselves.
Mindfulness gives you that oasis of calm whether it be for 10 minutes or longer.
Mindfulness Benefits
Over time, mindfulness brings about long-term changes in mood and levels of happiness and wellbeing.
Memory improves, creativity increases and reaction times become faster.
Focus on the moment
Mindfulness practice does not take a lot of time, although some patience and persistence are required. Many people soon find that meditation liberates them from the pressures of time, so they have more of it to spend on other things.
