Lanark & District u3a
Ukekele Choir 2 (Beginners and Intermediates)
Enjoy making music
Due to the popularity of our first Ukelele group we have formed this second group.
Our aim is to make this as informal as possible. We want members to enjoy every session and progress at their own pace. Success will be for everyone in the group to play with confidence and enjoy this wonderful instrument.
Ukulele fascination
The ukulele has also been widely celebrated for its increasingly social side.
The ease of strumming along while you sing and play together has made this little instrument a popular choice and a favoured instrument. It has also led to the formation of ukulele clubs, orchestras and social groups around the world.
Join our group
When a group is full we will start another group.
If you would be interested in joining a group please email me (Bill Toy) at the email address shown below or you can send an email to Alistair Mackie at mackiefairyknowe@yahoo.
Playing for Fun and Enjoyment
Practically everything about the ukulele––its small size, lightweight frame and easily pressed-down strings––makes it one of the easiest instruments to play on the planet. If you’re looking for a starter instrument for fun, the ukulele is going to be your best bet.
Group Leaders Comments
"We are all amazed that we have learned so much in a short time. Our experience and ability covers a wide range but we enjoy being in the group and we leave our sessions feeling that we have achieved something - and full of good intentions to practise more!"
