Welcome!

L&D u3a is for anyone who is retired or semi-retired and those on the young side of the ‘third age’ of life who are no longer in employment.

L&D u3a is a great place to expand your knowledge with like-minded people. Whether it is gardening, discussing current topics or talking about books or poetry, there are lots of opportunities to continue learning - and if there is not a group to suit you, let's start one!.

There is a humour group where there might be great comedy from guest speakers or we might watch a comedy film or a sitcom. However, there can be uncontrolled laughter just learning a new activity when a few folk can't remember the directions.

Living is about engaging. Engaging in activity. Engaging in developing your potential but, most of all, engaging with people. Above all else, L&D u3a gives us the opportunity for social interaction. Some groups - that's all that they are about: lunching, coffee mornings, outings. A chance to blether and make friends. It is incredibly simple and life-enhancing!
